A brush fire off of Highway 101 burned several acres of land in Santa Barbara County, but didn't threaten any structures.
The fire was discovered just after 6:30 Sunday night, in the hills northeast of the Highway 101-Highway 1 interchange.
Santa Barbara County County firefighters aided by a helicopter and bulldozers were able to keep the blaze from spreading. In the wake of recent rain, the fire spread slowly. There's no word on the cause of the blaze.
