Efforts to revive a swimmer pulled from the ocean at Santa Barbara's East Beach were unsuccessful

A trip to the beach ended in tragedy for a woman on the South Coast. She was swimming in the ocean at Santa Barbara’s East Beach Sunday morning when she had some type of problem.

People on the beach saw the woman was in distress, and brought her back to shore. Firefighters and paramedics started CPR, but they were unable to revive her. The woman’s name hasn’t been released yet.
