Five Arrested In Gang Sweep on South Coast

An investigation into several gang related shootings on the South Coast has led to a series of raids by law enforcement officers, and five arrests. Oxnard Police aided by Ventura County Sheriff’s investigators served search warrants on multiple locations over a two day period.

In addition to the arrests of four adults, a 16 year old teen was taken into custody. Detectives say a two month investigation into multiple shootings led to the raids in Oxnard.

They say in some cases, the gang members actively hunted their victims, and some of the arrests were for attempted murder.
