A Ventura County community has a new Police Chief. Ventura County Sheriff’s Captain Victor Fazio is the City of Moorpark’s new top cop.
He’s been with the Sheriff’s Office for more than two decades, working with everything from criminal investigations to narcotics enforcement. He helped create and run the county’s Pharmaceutical Crimes Unit, which is focused on tackling the opioid abuse problem.
Fazio takes over the post from John Reilly, who was promoted to commander and will oversee patrol services for Eastern Ventura County.
