There could be fireworks at a meeting over a proposal to extend new protections to wildlife in Ventura County.
Ventura County Supervisors are set to consider a wildlife corridor ordinance which would limit things like fences and lighting which could impact the movement of wildlife.
The proposal is the result of two years of community meetings. Some cities, residents, and environmental groups have endorsed the plan, but others argue it would impact property rights, and make it harder to do brush clearance to prevent brush fires.
The hearing begins at one p.m. Tuesday, at the Ventura County Government Center.
