A Central Coast city is getting a new City Manager. The Solvang City Council selected David Gassaway as its new top manager. Gassaway comes from Indian Wells, which is near Palm Springs.
He’s currently Community Development Director for Indian Wells. Prior to that, Gassaway worked for the Northern California city of Ranch Cordova in various capacities.
He fills the vacancy created by last year’s retirement of Brad Vidro, who had been with the city for more than a decade. Gassaway starts his new job in Solvang in April.
