A CHP officer was hurt in a multi-vehicle accident on the Central Coast Thursday

A CHP officer and two other drivers are recovering from injuries they suffered in a series of collisions on Highway 101 on the Central Coast. The officer was en route to some reported accidents on the 101 just before 8 a.m. Thursday when he stopped in the center median near Highway 1 outside of Buellton.

A pickup truck then spun out, narrowly missing the parked CHP car. But, a car just behind it also then went out of control, hitting the front end of the parked CHP unit. The drivers of all three vehicles suffered minor injuries.
