Snow Down To 1000 Feet? It's Possible For Central, South Coasts

SNOW.jpg

A storm system which has arrived on the Central and South Coasts could bring up to a half inch of rain to the region, but the bigger impact is the potential for snow down to some low levels. The snow level could drop to 1000 feet in some of our mountains.

There’s even the potential for snow Wednesday and Thursday nights on San Marcos Pass, and on the Cuesta Grade in San Luis Obispo County. Snowfall amounts are expected to be light, in the three to six inch range.

It will once again be cold, with temperatures dipping into the teens and 20’s for foothill, and mountain areas. The possibility of rain, and snow will be in the forecast through Thursday night.

With rainfall amounts light, no problems are expected for any of the region’s brush fire burn areas.
