A police officer is recovering from injuries he suffered in a traffic accident in Santa Barbara.
The collision occurred just before 11 a.m. Wednesday, near the intersection of Las Positas and Alegria Roads.
A car and a motorcycle officer collided, but it's still unclear what happened. The Santa Barbara Police officer was knocked to the ground. The officer was taken to a hospital, where he was reported to be in good condition.
The officer was apparently providing traffic control in the area when the accident occurred. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, and is cooperating with the investigation.
