The new music director for a Ventura County based symphony has something big to celebrate. Michael Christie was part of a team which won the Grammy for “Best Opera Recording” Sunday.
He was the conductor of the opera “The Revolution of Steve Jobs” which world premiered with the Santa Fe Opera. Christie was up for four Grammys for his work with that opera project.
Christie is the new music director for the Thousand Oaks based New West Symphony.
