Heavy Rainfall For Parts Of South Coast; Some Street Flooding

Rainfall sends water over sidewalks in Montecito's Village area Saturday morning

The winter storm hitting the Central and South Coasts brought some intense rainfall to the region Saturday, and triggered a Flash Flood Warning for Southern Santa Barbara County.

Rainfall totals now top more than three inches in the mountains of Santa Barbara, and more than two inches in Goleta.

Alisal Reservoiir had 4.06” of rain as of 9 a.m., and San Marcos Pass 3.4”. Goleta had 2.4” of rain, and Santa Barbara 2.1”. Matilija Canyon in Ventura County has 3.1” of rain, and Ventura 1.2” as of 9 a.m.

The forecast calls for one to three inches of rain on the coast and inland, and up to seven inches of rain in the mountains.
