Ventura County public safety officials have issued some evacuation orders in advance of the major winter storm headed to the Central and South Coasts.
There are mandatory evacuations for the Matilija Canyon, Wheeler Springs, and North Fork areas effective at 8 Friday night.
The Ventura Beach RV Resort, which partially flooded during a storm last month, is also under a mandatory evacuation.
An evacuation center is open at Nordhoff High School in Ojai as of 8 p.m. Friday.
