Seven people suffered minor injuries when a bus crashed in Santa Barbara County. It happened just before six a.m. Friday, near the Highway 101-Highway 154 interchange. CHP investigators say the northbound Amtrak bus drifted off the highway and crashed, ending up on its side.
There were two dozen people on board the bus at the time of the accident. The driver and six passengers were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
CHP officers arrested the driver, Laura Gish of Goleta, on a charge that she was driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
