The storm system arriving on the Central and South Coasts Tuesday has prompted the opening of an evacuation center, and some school closures in Santa Barbara County.
A Red Cross Evacuation Center has been set up at the Goleta Valley Community Center.
Crane Country Day School, and El Montecito Preschool are closed. Lady of Mount Carmel, Montecito Union School, and Laguna Blanca Lower School are holding classes at alternate sites.
