Some key sections of a state highway linking Ventura and Los Angeles Counties will be closed during the overnight hours throughout this week due to maintenance projects.
Caltrans officials say parts of Highway 126 will be shut down between Ventura and Santa Paula from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily through Friday.
The closures will apply to both eastbound and westbound lanes, and include a number of on and offramps. The full closures are intended to give crews the ability to safely repave parts of the highway and install some new guardrails.
There will be signed detours in place, but motorists are being advised to use alternative routes if possible because they could experience significant delays.
