Hunt On For Possible Child Predator On South Coast

Authorities are looking for a possible child predator in Santa Barbara County. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies say a woman tried to get an eight year old girl walking home from school in Goleta to get into her car.

The incident happened Friday, on the 300 block of North San Marcos Road, but investigators say it was just reported to them Sunday. They say the Foothill Elementary School student told them a woman driving a silver four door car approached her.

Detectives say when the woman asked the girl to get into his car, she realized the danger, and was able to safely run away.

The man is described as a white female, in her 30’s to 50’s, with blonde shoulder length hair. The car might be a silver Toyota or Honda.
