Comedians Howie Mandel, Jeff Dunham Stepping Up To Help Thousand Oaks Shooting, Woolsey Fire Victims

Two famous comedians are the latest to step up to help people affected by the Woolsey Brush Fire and the Borderline Bar and Grill attack. Howie Mandel and Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham will headline a December 22nd benefit show in Thousand Oaks.

All of the proceeds for the event at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza will be administered by the Entertainment Industry Foundation to benefit survivors of the shooting and those impacted by the fires.

Tickets go on sale Friday through Ticketmaster, and in person at the Civic Arts Plaza Box Office. Mandel is known for his comedy, as well as being the host of “Deal or No Deal” on CNBC, and for being a judge on “America’s Got Talent” on NBC.

Dunham has the world record for most tickets sold on a standup comedy tour, and has starred in a number of television comedy specials.

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
