"He Was A Hero"; Ventura County Church Packed By People Honoring Officer Slain Trying To Stop Gunman

He’s being remembered as a hero, a person who gave his life to try to save others. Ventura County Sheriff’s Sergeant Ron Helus is one of the 12 victims of the November 7th shooting rampage in Thousand Oaks at the Borderline Bar and Grill. Helus died trying to stop the gunman.
