Ventura County's Hill Fire Remains At 15% Containment, 4500 Acres Burned

It's been overshadowed by the much larger, and more destructive Woolsey brush fire, but the Hill brush fire continues to burn out of control in Ventura County.

The 4500 acre blaze started Thursday afternoon.  The blaze pushed from the Conejo Grade area through mountains towards the ocean.  It's forced thousands of evacuations on both sides of the grade, including Cal State Channel Islands.

But, the good news is that it's only caused some minor damage, with no homes being seriously damaged or desstroyed.

The fire closed Cal State Channel Islands in Camarillo because of the concern about the fire itself, as well as ongoing smoke issues on campus.  All classes and events on campus have been canceled until further notice.
