A South Coast museum which isn’t even two years old is getting a major educational grant from the National Science Foundation.

MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration and Innovation in Santa Barbara is getting nearly $170,000 in conjunction with UC Santa Barbara for an engineering program.

The “Engineering Exploration” effort includes curriculum guides for teachers, classroom activities, and field trips to MOXI to give kids hands on educational experiences.

The goal is to develop nine different “Engineering Exploration” modular programs.
