Candidates Square Off In Ventura County Forum For Heated 25th District Congressional Race

Candidates katie hill and Steve Knight face off in a 25th Congressional District race debate in Ventura County Thursday night

It’s considered to be one of the most competitive congressional races in the nation, and it’s right here, in our backyard. The 25th District Congressional race pits Republican Congressman Steve Knight against Democratic challenger Katie Hill. Hundreds of people turned out for a debate in Ventura County Thursday night between Knight and Hill.

Knight and Hill took part in a League of Women Voters of Ventura County debate at Santa Susana High School, in Simi Valley.

Knight is a former state assemblyman and state senator who’s seeking his third term in Congress. Hill led the state’s largest non-profit homeless services organization.

The two sparred over issues like immigration, health care, and social security before an overflow crowd.
