Ventura County Gets Two New Court Commissioners

Ventura County has two new Superior Court Commissioners. Judith Rhodes and Julia Snyder have been appointed to commissioners posts to fill vacancies created by the promotions of their predecessors to judgeships.

Rhodes has been a family law lawyer for 30 years, and has had her own firm since 2002. Snyder has been a Deputy District Attorney with Ventura County since 1999.

Superior Court Commissioners hear things like family law, child support, domestic violence, criminal, and small claims cases. They are appointed by the County’s Superior Court judges.
