Unemployment Statewide, And On Central and South Coasts Lowest In Decades

Some just released numbers showing the state, and the Central and South Coasts have the brightest employment outlook in years.

California unemployment dropped from 4.2% in August to 4.1% in September, the lowest number in years. It’s down from a 4.5% jobless rate in September of 2017.

The Central and South Coasts also showed unemployment drops. In Ventura County, the jobless rate went from 3.9% in August to 3.7% in September.

Santa Barbara County went from 3.6% to 3.3%. And, in San Luis Obispo County, the unemployment rate dipped from 3% in August to 2.7% in September.
