Strong wind is creating potentially dangerous brush fire conditions for the Central and South Coasts.

There is a Red Flag Warning in effect through 8 p.m. Tuesday for the region.  The strongest wind was expected Monday.  Humidity dropped into the single digits in many areas.

Southern California Edison says it could potentially shut down power to some at risk areas like Fillmore, Santa Paula, Ojai, Simi Valley, Moorpark, and Thousand Oaks.  But, no precautionary shutdowns have occurred.
