Nearly a dozen public safety agencies teamed up to raid a South Coast condominium complex which they say was a meeting spot for dangerous criminals. They arrested 10 people on a variety of charges.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Office investigators say some condos on the 200 block of Harrison Avenue in Ventura had become overrun by squatters, and a gathering spot for gang members, wanted felons, and drug users.

A two month investigation led to the raid. Detectives say they seized large quantities of heroin and methamphetamine, and found a number of people wanted for warrants, and parole violations.

Ventura County Animal Control officers removed 16 dogs after they determined the dogs were living in unsafe conditions.
