South Coast Airport Which Just Added Two Airlines Says Third Now Wants In; Brings Total To Six

A big month for a South Coast airport is getting even bigger.

Sun Country and Frontier Airlines both started new service to Santa Barbara Airport this month.  Airport officials now confirm that yet another airline is going to start service to Santa Barbara, bringing the total to six.

They say they will release the name of the airline at an event on Monday, as well as the two new destinations it will serve.

The new service will bring the number of cities with direct service from Santa Barbara to nine, including Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Seattle.  More than 700,000 passengers a year use the airport.
