Brazen Daytime Robbery At South Coast Apple Store Ends With Five Arrests

Five people have been arrested following a brazen daytime robbery of thousands of dollars of worth of electronics from an Apple Store in Ventura County.

Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives say that just after three Sunday afternoon, three hooded men walked into the Apple Store in the Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks and began stealing phones and computers.

As the trio ran out of the store, one of them ran into a teenage girl and knocked her down. Bystanders tackled two of the fleeing robbers, and held them until deputies arrived. The third person escaped to a waiting vehicle.

Deputies stopped it on Highway 118 in Simi Valley, arresting three people. Investigators think the five were an organized theft ring which had already robbed an Apple Store in Los Angeles County.
