A pop superstar who performed on the Central Coast Sunday night is now in a Los Angeles hospital, after apparently suffering a drug overdose.

Demi Lovato was the headliner at the Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles, in a concert which was supposed to be the kickoff a new tour.  Fans there called it an amazing concert.

Lovato had returned home to the Los Angeles area.  Paramedics were called to a house in the Hollywood Hills Tuesday morning, and took the 25 year old woman to a nearby hospital.

Lovato has a history of substance abuse and mental health issues, and has talked openly about them in interviews, and at her concerts.  Other stars like Ellen DeGeneres and country singer Brad Paisley have tweeted messages of support.
