Authorities Say Crash Which Killed One, Closed Ventura County Highway Was No Accident

Detectives now say the big traffic collision which killed one person, and closed a major Ventura County highway for hours wasn’t an accident.

They’ve arrested a man they say intentionally caused the crash.

Ventura County Sheriff’s investigators say Eduardo Robles was driving westbound on Highway 126 in Fillmore Thursday afternoon when he sped up on purpose, and rammed the rear of the car ahead of him. The car he hit spun into the eastbound lane, and was struck by an oncoming big rig. The person in the car which was rammed died at the scene. Three others were hurt.

The Fillmore man was arrested on murder and attempted murder charges. The name of the person who died hasn’t been released yet.
