Horse Left Homeless By Thomas Fire Gets New Home, And A Famous Last Name From The Sports World

Tommy, the horse left homeless by the Thomas Fire, now has a new home

There’s a happy ending to a story KCLU News first told you about a month ago. Not only does a homeless horse found during the Thomas Fire now have a home, it’s a celebrity home.

Tommy was found wandering near Santa Paula last December during the Thomas Fire.

The horse was dirty and starving when it was found. The Humane Society of Ventura County nursed him back to health, but the owner never claimed him.   He was named Tommy.

He  was put up for adoption almost a month ago, but the Humane Society wanted to take the time to make sure Tommy would find a proper home. He’s an older horse who loves people, but doesn’t play well with other horses.

He’s been adopted by Ann Scioscia. If that last name sounds familiar, it’s because her husband, Mike Scioscia is the manager of the Los Angeles Angels Baseball team. The couple lives in Ventura County.
