Candidates For Sheriff In Santa Barbara County Set To Debate

This year’s race for Sheriff in Santa Barbara County is turning out to be a lot more interesting than many political observers would have predicted.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown is seeking a fourth term in office. But, he’s being challenged by two of his lieutenants.

Lt. Brian Olmstead, and Lt. Eddie Hsueh are running against the incumbent.

The three are scheduled to face off in a debate this week in Santa Maria. It will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors meeting room on Betteravia Road.
