More than a thousand people packed a Ventura County church Tuesday to remember a 14 year old girl who died from complications of the flu.
Gabriella Chabot died suddenly last week.
The La Reina High School student’s sudden death left family and friends shaken. Her father had driven her school February 8th. When she came home, she said that she didn’t feel well, and went to bed, but stopped breathing. The family says she had tested positive for influenza B, and had been taking Tamiflu.
The school will have counselors on campus Wednesday to help students, and staff members cope with the teen’s death.
