State Insurance Commissioner Sets Workshops For Ventura, Santa Barbara To Help Fire/Flood Victims

Thousands of people in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties are finding themselves dealing with insurance companies in the wake of the massive Thomas brush fire, and South Coast flooding.   A pair of weekend workshops in the region are intended to help victims.

State Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones tells KCLU News it can be overwhelming, but that his office is trying to help, and protect victims. Jones says on Saturday, his office will have insurance workshops for victims in Ventura and Santa Barbara to help them with the process.

The Ventura workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Ventura College, and the Santa Barbara workshop will be at 4-6 p.m. at Santa Barbara City College.
