Plans for a memorial service have been announced for the San Diego County based firefighter who died in Ventura County while battling the Thomas brush fire.
Services will take place for Cory Iverson this Saturday morning in San Diego. The 32 year old Cal FIRE firefighter died December 14th northwest of Fillmore, when he was trapped, and overcome by the oncoming flames and smoke.
Iverson leaves behind his wife, and two year old daughter. They were also expecting a second daughter. A GOFUNDME account has been set up in the name of Cory’s widow, Ashley Iverson, to help the family.
