Ventura County Congresswoman Introduces Bill To Help Veterans Trying To Start New Businesses

A Ventura County congresswoman is co-author of a bill intended to help veterans start new small businesses.

The Veteran Entrepreneurs Act calls for reductions in government regulations, as well as a 25% tax credit to cover initial franchise fees for veterans trying to start businesses affiliated with chains.

The bipartisan bill was introduced by Democratic Congresswoman Julia Brownley of Thousand Oaks, and Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney of New York.
