The potential impacts on college students of the Trump’s administration’s proposed tax cuts will be the focus of a community forum on the South Coast Monday night.
Democratic Congressman Salud Carbajal of Santa Barbara is sponsoring the 5 p.m. event at UC Santa Barbara’s Multicultural Center.
Carbajal is critical of the proposal’s impacts on college students. He says that under the current structure, the state’s students stand to lose more than a billion dollars in tax deductions. The forum will feature students, as well as administrators from UCSB and Santa Barbara City College.
