Red Flag Warning, Watches For Brush Fires In Effect For Parts Of Central, South Coasts

There’s an increased brush fire threat for parts of the Central and South Coasts Friday, with gusty wind and a spike in temperatures.

A Red Flag warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Ventura, and Los Angeles County Mountains, with wind from 15-25 miles an hour, and potential gusts topping 40 miles an hour.

There’s a Red Flag Watch for the mountains of San Luis Obispo County, as well as for the Cuyama Valley.

Conditions are expected to ease Sunday, with a big increase in onshore flow which could drop high temperatures 10 to 15 degrees from Saturday to Sunday.
