Man Sought After Teenage Jogger Accosted In Ventura County

Authorities have issued a warning in the Conejo Valley after they say a man tried to abduct a teenage jogger.

Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives say the girl was running on Townsgate Road near Triunfo Canyon Road around 4 p.m. Monday when a man stopped his SUV near her. Investigators say he tried to get her to get into the vehicle, and when she refused, he tried to grab her. The girl freed herself, and was able to escape.

The man is described as a white male between 30 and 40 years old, with a bald head and thick brown beard. He was driving a white SUV which had a sticker on its windshield which made it look like a baseball had cracked the glass.
