A Ventura County man is facing vehicular manslaughter charges for a June car crash in Santa Barbara County which left two people dead, and three hurt.

Prosecutors say Brandon Woodward was intoxicated when he lost control of a car on Gibraltar Road, leading to it plunging 300 feet into a ravine. Two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The 19 year old Ventura man is facing two counts of felony gross vehicular manslaughter, and a count of felony DUI causing serious injury. Woodward could face more than 18 years behind bars if convicted.
