Authorities have released the name of a man who was shot and fatally wounded in Ventura County.
Oxnard Police officers were called to the parking lot of their headquarters on C Street in downtown Ventura just after 7:30 Wednesday night by reports of a shooting victim. The found a seriously wounded man in a vehicle. Officers started first aid. Albert Salazar of Oxnard was taken to a hospital, but he died a short time later.
Detectives later determined that the 24 year old man had been shot on the 1300 block of West Guava Street. Investigators aren’t saying what they think led to the fatal shooting.
