New Brush Fire Closes Highway 154 In Santa Barbara County; Some Evacuations Ordered

A brush fire reported in the Lake Cachuma area of Santa Barbara County at around 1;45 p.m. Saturday has resulted in the closure of Highway 154, and some evacuation warnings.

People have been ordered to leave the Lake Cachuma area.

People have been told to prepare to leave the Paradise Road, and West Camino Cielo areas, which are popular areas for outdoor visitors. 

A huge plume of smoke from the fire is visible in the Santa Barbara area.

There's no word yet on the exact size of the fire.
