What forecasters are calling a dangerous and potentially record setting heat wave on the South Coast has at least another day of sizzling temperatures in it before easing.
National Weather Service forecasters say inland temperatures in the region could once again top 100 in the hottest spots Saturday.
But, right along the coast an inversion layer is keeping some highs in the 70’s. We’re seeing a 20 degree difference between the coast and areas just three or four miles inland. Concern remains high about the potential for sundowner winds in Southern Santa Barbara County Friday night and Saturday.
A cooling trend is expected to start on Sunday.
