Ventura County Superior Court Judge Retires After More Than Two Decades On Bench

A longtime judge on the South Coast has retired.

Judge Donald Coleman stepped down Friday after more than two decades as a Ventura County Superior Court judge. He handled everything from juvenile crimes to criminal court cases, and just completed a two year term as the court’s Presiding Judge.

Coleman was first elected as a Superior Court judge in 1996. Before that, he served nearly two decades as a prosecutor in the Ventura County Deputy District Attorney’s office, rising to Chief Deputy District Attorney.
