Work Continues On Ventura County General Plan Update

Ventura County’s General Plan is the blueprint used to guide growth in the county.

The plan, which is currently undergoing a major update, is critical to property owners because it establishes things like zoning.

This week, Ventura County’s Planning Division released some key documents for public review in the update process, including a report outlining current conditions in the county. There’s also a summary of comments about the update which came from a dozen public hearings on the process. The documents are available for viewing online through the county’s website, or in person at the Ventura County Government Center.

The Ventura County Planning Commission will review the latest documents at a still to be scheduled public workshop this spring.
