People Applying for ACA Health Care In California Get Reprieve From Tuesday Night Deadline

People who want to buy health care insurance in California as a part of the national Affordable Care Act can get an extension past Tuesday night's announced deadline.

Midnight Tuesday was supposed to be the cutoff for people applying for healthcare. But, officials with Covered California announced today that because of an anticipated last minute crush, people who start an application today will have until February 4th to complete it.

Officials with the program say that people concerned about the costs of coverage should know that nine out of ten enrollees get some level of financial assistance.
