Santa Barbara County's Chief Probation Officer Placed On Paid Administrative Leave

Santa Barbara County’s Chief Probation Officer is in hot water, but no one is taking about why.

Guadalupe Rabago was placed on administrative leave Monday, but because it’s a personnel matter, details on what led to the decision aren’t being released.

He’s been the county top probation official for two years. While he’s off the job, former Chief Probation Officer Beverly Taylor has temporarily returned to run the agency’s operations. She retired from the post two years ago.

Rabago is a county employee, but falls under the jurisdiction of the Santa Barbara County Superior Court system.
