Fire Hits South Coast Shopping Center

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire which heavily damaged a furniture store, and some neighboring businesses in a South Coast shopping center.

The blaze was discovered just after eight last night at the corner of A, and Ninth Streets in Oxnard. It appears the fire started in the furniture store and spread to three adjacent businesses. It took firefighters about an hour to control the fire.

No one was hurt.
