South Coast Boy Stars In National TV Commercial, TV Series Because Of Advocacy For National Parks

Junior Ranger Tigran Nahabedian visited the White House, met the Director of the National Park Service, and has appeared in national news stories and commercials because of his advocacy for our National Parks

What started as a casual interest in our national parks has led to a South Coast boy becoming a national spokesman for the public resource.

Tigran Nahabedian's adventures have included a visit to the White House, appearing in the Rose Parade, and starring in a new national TV commercial highlighting good causes.

The 12 year old is now featured in a new kids television show called "Mack & Moxy" airing on PBS and through Netflix.

Some Ventura County elementary school students got a chance to meet this young ambassador in a special Channel Islands National Park event yesterday, which featured a screening of the television show.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco has the story, from Ventura.

Lance Orozco has been News Director of KCLU since 2001, providing award-winning coverage of some of the biggest news events in the region, including the Thomas and Woolsey brush fires, the deadly Montecito debris flow, the Borderline Bar and Grill attack, and Ronald Reagan's funeral.
