More Than Two Dozen Drivers Cited After Sting Operation At Ventura County Crosswalk

He was in a crosswalk, wearing a fluorescent yellow safety vest.

Yet, more than two dozen drivers failed to yield as required by law to a police officer posing a pedestrian at a Simi Valley intersection. 28 people were cited as the result of the sting operation at the intersection of Cochran and Heather Streets.

Police targeted the intersection because of numerous complaints by nearby residents of drivers refusing to yield to pedestrians. The crosswalk is used by many children headed to a nearby school.
