Storm Brings Rain, Some Snow To Central, South Coasts

It wasn't a big storm, but it brought some much needed to the Central and South Coasts.

Rainfall totals ranged from around a half inch for much of the South Coast to around three quarters of an inch for some Central Coast communities.

Some of the heaviest rainfall was recorded in Pismo Beach, and at Cal State Channel Islands in Camarillo, which each recorded about 1.2” of rainfall. On the South Coast, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Oxnard each had about a half inch of rainfall. Carpinteria had about a third of an inch, while Thousand Oaks received about a quarter of an inch of rain in total. On the Central Coast, Solvang, Santa Maria, and Nipomo each had about six tenths of an inch of rainfall.

On Mt. Pinos, which is on the Ventura/Kern County line, four inches of snow was recorded at the 8800 foot level.
